I nodded. I nodded because I knew the truth.

For a week my South Indian tastebuds wanted to do some happy dance.
So yesterday, I went for dinner with my mother.
As soon as we entered, to my surprise, I saw my college friend Shreya after almost 6 years, sitting right there at the first table.
She was with her friend, let’s call her R.

While having delicious Dosa, we were talking about the usual stuff about family and cribbing about how cold it has been lately 🥶, I came to know R is an influencer with 49k followers on Instagram and very famous here in Rajkot.
Now honestly, I did not know about her because the niche she’s into is out of my syllabus.
‘Social media marketer bug’ in me came out straight away and I asked her about strategies and how and who handles her profile. (I promise I didn’t ask her to hire me)😜
“Me! I handle my own profile! You see, I don’t need anyone because I post whatever I love and don’t really follow a strategy as such.”
I nodded. I nodded because I knew the truth.
I checked her profile after reaching home and was I surprised! No! 🤷♀️
Very well crafted strategy, visually pleasing edits and thoughtful image building were screaming ‘teamwork’ at the top of their voice.
Now I don’t know why she said so, but here are some truths about social media marketing:-
✔️ Posting randomly doesn’t bring you work, you have to have a solid strategy and thoughtful content.
✔️ Your TG might not love to see what you love to post, they are there for a reason, so give them what they want if you want to scale.
✔️ You cannot do and handle everything on your own after a certain point unless you are Rajnikanth! 🦸🏽
Social media is a very powerful tool. An expert makes it more powerful.
How many of you are a Dosa lover?
P.S. – I confirmed with Shreya. R has a solid in-house team. 😁
